A) No matter how much we want people to like us for who we are and not for the way we look in a world like today we judge people for how they look.

some opinions about beauty contest?

Q) some opinions about beauty contest I wanna ask some opinions about beauty contest. 1. Do you think beauty contest are outdated? Why, Why not? 2.Do different countries and cultures have different ideas of beauty, or is there a common ideal of world beauty? 3.Do you think beauty contest are biased towards women of a certain race? I need some different opinions. Please give me some of you opinions.

A) I dont think they are outdated, and I think its a personal choice if you want to do them. I dont agree they are degrading to women, if they were why would women do them!

A) The woman's beauty (the woman in the song) is not a real genuine beauty, but a fake beauty that came from a jar (she's putting on make-up) that the rain can wash away. She doesn't trust in her inner beauty, instead she feels she needs to do something to herself to make herself beautiful in the eyes of the world. But it's a temporary beauty only, because it's not based on anything real or meaningful or deep.

Sleeping Beauty, Tom Thumb and the Hunchback of Notre Dame?

Q) were talking to each other and Sleeping Beauty said that she was the most beautiful woman in the world. Tom Thumb said that he is the smallest person in the world. The Hunchback said that he is the ugliest person in the world. Just to reconfirm their claims, they all decided to go to the Guinness Books of Records to check their status. Sleeping Beauty came out of the Guinness Books of Records Office with a big grin on her face as she has been reconfirmed as the most beautiful woman in the world. Tom Thumb came out of the Guinness Books of Records Office dancing a jig and whistling a tune as he is still the smallest person in the world. The Hunchback of Notre Dame came out with a confused look on his face. Sleeping Beauty and Tom Thumb were curious and asked the Hunchback what was wrong. In a dejected and confused voice the Hunchback asked……………….. "Who the f##k is Wayne Rooney ?"

beauty therapy lecturer?

Q) Apparently now you cant do the teacher training course unless youve got a degree but you cant get a degree in beauty!!! Any one know a way around it?? Surely you dont have to do a 3 year degree in education as well as level 2 and 3 in beauty and then the teacher training course????

When considering beauty, does beauty equal perfection?

Q) Some people use the term beauty to describe human features, I tend to use it to describe human traits (eg. ways or personalities) or nature (eg. sunsets). Being the person who sees something or someone as beautiful (the beholder), is it so wrong to describe something as unbeautiful (ugly)? When you reach beauty does it mean there is nothing more that can be done to improve?

A) my cat is a Tonkinese, she is beauty equal to perfection so was my Siamese, my pig was ugly and ugly to perfection, nothing could of been improved, but to me she was the most beautifull pig in creation,

Should I open a Beauty Salon Business? How often do you go to the beauty salon?

Q) Im thinking about opening a beauty salon business that offers the following services. *Individual eyelash extensions (they look so real and last for 6 weeks £45) *Eyebrow shaping/ colouring *Waxing *UV Free Spray Tanning *Nail Extensions *Manicures and Pedicures *Body Wraps *Spray Tatoo *Body Piercing The question is though, I don't know if ladies would be interested in coming to my salon. If there was a beauty salon that offered services like these, close by, would you go? And what treatments would you like to see/or have done? And finally!!! Should I open my beauty Salon?

A) First of all lets address the eyelash extensions,have you ever had these? 45 Dollars is too cheap i charge 350.00 for 120 lashes 60 per eye. These services are great but need to be broader. People wil come to your salon,but there is alot to opening and maintaining a good business. My mom has a salon in beverly hills.She has had her business 23 years,she is extremely succesful.She has 6 people that rent booths from her that do different tasks ,colorin,perming,washing ,blowdrying,nails, esthetician,manicurist,just some examples of services they provide. After 23 years my mom has a great reputation which helps alot. You can make fabulous money,my mom makes close to 2 million a year. A) These aren't really secrets, but this is what I do and I would advise others to try them if they'd like. Protect your skin. Use products with at least SPF 15 in them. Generally, I use SPF 30 or even SPF 45. Exfoliate. Skin sheds dead skin cells. Scrub them off. You can do this by purchasing a facial scrub or you can make your own my mixing sugar with lotion (or just water). Scrub gently. You can also get scrubbing clothes and/or Buf Puf pads. Moisturize (and drink water). Skin needs to be hydrated. There are a lot of good moisturizers on the market. I like Oil of Olay pink beauty lotion, which is simple and inexpensive. It's been around forever, but it's great. Vaseline (petroleum jelly) is a good sealant for skin. Of course, it can clog pores, but for me it's great to put on my nose while I sleep when the winter wind causes my nose to peel. It's the only think that works for my nose. If you think foundation may be too cakey for you, try tinted moisturizer instead. It's very sheer, but can be good for evening out skintone, plus it makes your skin very dewy and radiant. I also use Vaseline (petroleum jelly) on my lips at night. A lot of time I will use some sort of moisturizing balm (usually Blistex for me), but if not, I use Vaseline.

Q) Why are all of us so passionate about looking good? it costs so much money and time. Why not spend it on better pursuits?

A) I dont think its so much we are passionate about looking good, Its taking pride in our appearance , It makes us feel confident about ourselves. It doesnt cost a lot to look good , if you have a good diet of fruit and veg, then we are putting good things into our body Remember the saying ...you are what you eat... Its just a matter of changing our bad habits to good ones. and ..... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, .....in other words....its the beauty inside that radiates out!!!.

A) I just finished taking a really good course on the politics of beauty this past semester. We used a packet that was compiled of several articles on how beauty, race, gender, religion, and socio-economic status tie into what we as Americans perceive to be beautiful. Some good books, articles, and sites to check out are: The Beauty Myth: How Images of Beauty Are Used Against Women by Naomi Wolf....What Is Beauty Anyway? and Why Is Beauty On Parade?, both are great articles by De Clarke....and an excerpt from Lawrence Otis Graham's book Member of the Club entitled Black Man With A Nose Job" How We Defend Ethnic Beauty in America. Also a good site to check out is www.nostatusquo.com. It's a site created by Nikki Craft with tons of info on beauty from the feminist perspective. Good luck! Questions about beauty school... Should I go even though I've been to college?

Q) I am considering going beauty school and I was wondering if anyone has gone to beauty school after going to a legitimate 4 year college. I went to one of the top rated schools for psychology in the country and just graduated with my degree. I am not interested/nor do I have the 3.7gpa I need to go to graduate school. What I have found by looking at jobs is that I don't hardly qualify for any entry level positions, and if I do they usually start at about $20-25k a year. What I am wondering is if I should go to beauty school or just look for jobs that I qualify for. I know that the girl who does my hair makes close to 80k a year. Shes younger than me and has a brand new suv, is buying a house, all while being a single mom. I went to college and I can't find a job now and I have loans to pay off in 5 months! Is beauty school practical? How much money does someone usually make after graduation of beauty school? Can I go to beauty school while working full time? Cost of going?

A) First off, don't do a job because of the money, do it because its something you enjoy. you don't even need a long term job, your young, do something that interests you on a whim. If you want to learn to snowboard, work at a ski resort, if you want to do your makeup better, go to cosmetology school. The point is do what you like, your degree shows people that you can commit to something for four years, thats it. And that girl didn't get an entry level job for 80k, she worked hard at her lower paying entry level and met the right people that showed her doors to open. You have to be willing to start at the bottom to get to the top sweety, thats just reality
